Squid Games, a Netflix series, has taken over the internet as 111 million people have viewed the series to date. Similarly, Crab Games, the multi-player video game, has become very popular riding the Squid Games coattails. If you haven’t seen the series, Squid Games revolves around a contest where players risk their lives to play deadly children’s games for a chance to win a $46.6 billion prize. All of the players are in financial debt struggling to make ends meet and use their desire to pull themselves out of debt to compete in these deadly challenges. The game is classified as a South Korean survival drama television series.
The show was released in September 2021 and shortly after Crab Games hit the gaming scene taking advantage of the Netflix series’ hype.
